The kids are back in school and summer is officially over. Even though it was 90 here on Monday cooler temps are on the horizon as we look forward to the inevitable change in seasons. September and even October are some of the most beautiful months in the Midwest. California weather brings a breathtaking change in colors. Starbucks is already serving PSL’s, and we get all the fall feels for fun family activities from apple picking, tailgating, to visiting your local nursery or favorite pumpkin patch. Every year I just can’t help myself and have to go all out of our front porch.
Local friends Labor Day weekend we headed to Wheaton Nurseries. Every year they have the best ornamental cabbage and kale and this year did not disappoint. They are so kind and friendly there and walked me through their entire display. Mark your calendars Saturday September 29th they are having a fall festival from 10am-4pm complete with face painting and pumpkin carving.

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
