We had the most spectacular Fall day to go apple picking this weekend! There was not one single cloud in the sky. It was extra special because Gram & Grandpa joined us on our adventure. We picked and ate Red Delicious and Ida Red right off the trees to our hearts galore chasing the kids up and down the rows of the apple orchard. A helpful hint the orchard staff shared with us, if you put your apples in the refrigerator in a large Ziploc bag with a wet paper towel they’ll last for three weeks longer.
While picking my mom found a lady bug (a symbol of good luck we share with one another) on one of the apples. When our bags were filled to the brim we stopped at the orchard’s general store to stuff ourselves on the most heavenly warm cinnamon sugar donuts ever. As we were checking out I looked over and saw the most profound quote, “This Tree of Life symbolizes our family’s strength and love, with sheltering guidance from heaven above. Our family root’s help us to become the best we can be, planting seeds of hope in times of adversity. The branches connect us and wherever we may go, traditions are passed as love continues to grow.” It was one of those days that you know you are making memories you’ll treasure for years to come!

How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
