HAPPY NEW YEAR

January 1, 2017

Happy New Years, dear friends!

Wishing you all the best this year can hold for you” prosperity, good fortune, and – most importantly – health. I’m going to start this year off right by not making any resolutions.

Wait, not making any resolutions?! Yup. I saw the funniest quote on Facebook this week: “I’m opening a gym called ‘Resolutions’ – it’ll have exercise equipment the first two weeks, then turn into a bar for the rest of the year.”

Sometimes, I think it’s actually more difficult to NOT do things; the majority of new years resolutions seem to emphasize habits you shouldn’t be doing (eat fewer carbs, spend less money). Focusing on deprivation has never worked for me, especially when it comes to enjoying chocolate and red wine.

So instead of resolutions, I’m going to set goals for myself.

“A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline.” ~Harvey MacKay

I hope you’ll join me in setting goals for yourself so we can recognize our dreams together.

Hello, 2017… here we come!

XO,

Doreen

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
