In case you missed it last week I shared our full kitchen remodel reveal on the blog. We completely renovated our kitchen and mudroom, which included updating all the lighting with Hudson Valley Lighting. Lighting can make a huge difference in a space. It’s the jewelry in any room. Great lighting sets the tone and ambiance and whether it be task, overhead or accent lighting,  putting your money into beautiful lighting is always money well spent.

 

All our kitchen lighting is from Hudson Valley Lighting. A new window unit above the kitchen sink brings in so much more natural light. The three lights above the kitchen sink are Hudson Valley Garden City polished nickel sconces.

 

The center island got a makeover too. The hood was taken down and the range moved. We added two Hudson Valley Altamont large pendant lights. Now the kids can sit at the center island, eat, and do their homework. The Altamont  pendants provide great overhead task lighting and now our line of site is no longer obstructed.

We swapped out the chandelier in the eat-in kitchen area and opted for brass with a Hudson Valley Lighting nine light chandelier from the Dillon Collection. I love the brass with the navy blue grasscloth wallpaper it really pops.

The two Hudson Valley Lambert pendant lights brighten up the new mudroom.

In addition to updating our lighting in our kitchen and mudroom, our downstairs powder room got an overhaul too. The existing powder room light was not installed properly by the previous homeowners making it impossible to change.

I love the sleek yet simple Fleming 3 light vanity light we replaced it with.

 In the nursery to add more lighting we installed 4 can lights and this semi-flush light in aged brass. This semi-flush versatile fixture would work anywhere from a bedroom, living room or playroom.

My favorite fixture we updated is in our office. It’s from Hudson Valley’s Fleming collection. This unique semi-flush 8 light fixture resembles a musical instrament and ads a wow factor to this once boring space.
