Lavender Sachets

May 10, 2017

Lavender has always been one of my favorite scents. It has so many amazing healing qualities and I love putting  a few drops of essential lavender oil on my wrists to calm my nerves before flying. Recently I was working with dried lavender for a photo shoot, and had so many of the little lavender buds left over. I didn’t want to throw them out because they smelled heavenly. When I was younger my Dad traveled weekly for business. He would always bring my sister and I back little gifts. I’ll never forget when he traveled to Paris and brought me back the most beautiful sachets from Anne Fontaine. I love putting them in my clothing draws (perfect for your lingerie drawer) to softly fragrant your clothes.

These sachets are are cinch to make they took me 10 minutes. Your little ones can help you and are the perfect gift for any mother or loving Grandma for Mother’s Day or a simple shower, housewarming gift.

What you’ll need:

  1. Muslin Cloth Bag
  2. Dried Lavender
  3. Iron on Letters

You could use the iron on letters to personalize each satchel for your gift recipient whether it be their name or initial(s). Fill the bags with 2/4 cups of dried lavender buds, tie and you’re done.

Enjoy & Happy Mother’s Day!

How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
