Master Bedroom Reveal

February 13, 2018

We shared our Master Bedroom Sitting reveal a few weeks ago. Now it’s time for our Master Bedroom Reveal! Ann worked her magic, yet again, transforming this space. Our bedroom is our little escape from the craziness of everyday life. Most nights we fall right into bed, but we want that bed to be super comfortable and the surroundings neutral, simple and relaxing. Your home should rise up to meet you and our bedroom gives us a big bear hug each night.

As of late, I’m a huge fan of white. There is something calm and serene about it. I like bringing in color through accents that we can easily update.

The Serena & Lily Luna Stripe wallpaper makes the room, and  adds just enough color.  The lucite & polished nickel  curtain rod, hardware. and fireplace pulls from Lux Holdups add a hint of the unexpected. They are the secret show stoppers in the room.

Our bedding from Rachel Ashwell is to die for. A quality duvet and sheets are worth the investment. I love the zipper detail on our pillow cases and how they perfectly fit them, once they are on they are on.

We love our new tufted wingback Linen upholstered panel king bed with just one comfy Moroccan pom pom cotton blanket (we went with the largest size 94×118 inches). It has been perfect for extra chilly nights and with our faux leather lumbar and pillows from Susan Connor our bed is easy to make in the mornings.  For us, if we have too many throw pillows they just end up on the floor.

We added a bench with nail head trim from Noir home at the foot of the bed. It’s where our mini alarm clocks get their running start to join us for snuggles, or we can sit and get dressed in the morning. This Spring we hope to get new side tables but for now we’re happy with the ones we purchased after our wedding. Until now I’ve never been a carpet on carpet person, but I love how Ann selected this Homer Blue Loom Knotted Dash & Albert rug to anchor the room.

We updated the fireplace with shiplap and I painted the fireplace box surround. The natural rattan  mirror is from Pottery Barn Kids and is under $150.

Here’s a before of the room and fireplace.

I’d love to hear what you think of the room in the comments below.

xo,

Doreen

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

Everything in life is art.
