Master Bedroom Sitting Room

January 30, 2018

I’m so excited to share our master bedroom sitting room reveal with you ! For so long this sitting room off our master bedroom sat unfinished, just waiting for some love. The only time it received any attention was when we walked through to our master bedroom. Now it’s so cozy, fresh, and inviting. I love the coastal casual vibe and am so thankful for Ann Johnson for bringing this room to life. You might remember Ann helped us with our guest bedroom too. She’s a dream to work with, as kind as she is talented.

One of my favorite pieces in the room are the 16×20 acrylic frames from Highland Hardware. They perfectly display Jennifer Squires neutral photography. I especially love her serene seascapes. The raffia coffee table is so beautiful in person and I love that it has storage below to keep my favorite magazines and books. The oversized Lebon floor lamp adds the perfect pop of brass to what was once a dark corner. The floral pillows are Caitlin Wilson, and the lumbar is from Spark Modern.

The custom painting above is from my uber talented friend, fellow Twin momma and neighbor Jennifer Collander. Jenny will be launching a limited edition abstract collection this Spring, as well as offering canvas prints of this piece called “Walk in the Clouds”. Make sure you follow her on Instagram for updates. To say I love it is an understatement. I love to cozy up in this rattan chair (which is 20% OFF the next 2 Days with code OKLXTRA20). The pagoda garden stool is perfect resting spot for a glass of wine. This comfy cotton throw and gray lumbar complete this reading corner.

The 8×10 Dash & Albert Woven rug has held up great. We’ve had 20+ workers walking through our master bedroom since we had the pipe burst in the attic. This rug has shown no wear and is ideal for a super high traffic area like this.

I met the team from AVE Home last year at the Design Bloggers Conference in California. I was impressed by the quality of their furniture. The natural finish on the Julia console ( also 20% OFF the next two days with code OKLXTRA 20) helps offset our dark brazilian cherry hardwood floors.

No reveal is complete without a really shocking before photo. This is what the room looked like before when we toured our home.

I’ll leave you with the pretty. You can shop all the details below. I’d love to hear what you think of the room!

XO,

Doreen

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
