What a way to ring in 2019. We are so happy to say that Baby Girl Corrigan proudly made her debut into the world. We are so lucky to be her parents and are extremely grateful for this gift. Being a parent is a honor and not something we take lightly. The road to parenthood has not always been easy and it makes you especially grateful of the miracle of life. Putting together her room was a labor of love. When I was pregnant with the Twins I spent so much time focusing on the “stuff”. What baby gear to buy, the best rated car seat by consumer reports, etc. The Twins still came early and we only had the room somewhat put together.
My friend who’s a doula always said you should focus way more energy on your birth plan, then planning your nursery. I can honestly say that was the case this time around. We just finished her room in mid-December. Hindsight is 20/20 and now I know you don’t need all that stuff in fact you don’t need much. I am grateful the crib was put together in time for her to come home from the hospital and we did have a box of diapers bought. Being prepared does put me at ease.

My favorite piece in her nursery is the painting from my friend Michelle Brunner. Michelle is a mom to two beautiful girls and teaches art at a high school in Ohio. She has a gorgeous Instagram feed chalked full of her daily paintings and you can shop them here. I also love the Serena & Lily Priano wallpaper in their new color blush.

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
