Spring Blogger Tour

May 7, 2018

Spring is the season of new beginnings. For us Midwesterners it’s a right of passage that we survived another winter and the promise that soon warmer weather is coming our way! Time to open up our windows and doors, let the fresh air and light in, and begin to update our living spaces.

I’m so excited to team up with a few of my favorite bloggers again this year to feature our homes and recent projects.

Last year I shared Claire @ Centered by Design home remodel. This year in addition to having a beautiful baby (Congrats!) they tackled their upstairs bedroom and ensuite too! She created a santuary for her and her husband which is so useful especially for new parents battling sleepless nights. Claire was also featured in Modern Luxury Interiors for this stunning Lake Shore Drive project.

My friend Bria Hammel has been very busy this year too growing her design firm.  In addition to be featured in Traditional Home this past month she’s tackled several beautiful client projects including this Baltimore new construction home. They helped with all the architecture, interior design, and furnishings. As well as this full Holly Lane Renovation in Minnesota. Such fun young clients with fresh preppy taste!

My sweet friend Kelsey, Principal of Farmer’s Daughter, was named 2017 Best New Design Blog by Design Bloggers Conference. I adore this Century Bath Remodel she tackled in addition to her new design studio.

Fellow Twin Momma, Meredith Rodday, relaunched her brand & website this year. Meredith just wrapped up a laundry and bath remodel that will be coming to her blog soon. I’m excited to share the sneak peek here!

I love following along with Brynn of Brynn Olson Design Group on Instagram, and living vicariously through her travels and work.  Last week she took over Traditional Home’s feed for a few days! She recently wrapped up a huge remodel of her childhood home in Alabama. Not only is Brynn a talented designer but she’s also an artist. She painted a painting for her folks and as well as this beautiful Sedgwick project. Can you spot it?

We’ve also been busy at our home. This year we updated our Guest Bedroom, Master Bedroom, Master Bedroom Sitting and are finalizing Reese’s Room.

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

Everything in life is art.
