The Best Distressed Denim

March 30, 2017

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found that it’s easier to justify spending money on a nice handbag that will get lots of use over the years than on any one item of clothing that I can’t wear every day like I can use the same bag day after day.

I’m not afraid to say that I’m a mom who shops for herself at American Eagle (secret is out!). I feel 13 again when I’m shopping there, but who cares – the jeans are amazing and they always have a buy one get one 50% off deal (basically: two pairs for $80!). The denim is high quality and the jeans are cut perfectly for a woman’s body – I find that they accentuate my legs and are super comfy and high-waisted.

The jeans I’m wearing above are AE’s low-waisted jegging, and I also just bought a pair of the high-waisted jegging. I’m also a big fan of their vintage hi-rise jeans, which are so comfy I feel like I could sleep in them (I sometimes refer to them as my pajama jeans)! You might recognize the shirt from my Ice Cream post – I love this top, and have gotten tons of use out of it. The flats are the pointy ballet flat from Old Navy, but the chambray stripe pattern is sold out – I sourced similar styles below!

So there’s my secret: I get my jeans from American Eagle. No shame in my game, these jeans rule.

XO,

Dor

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

Everything in life is art.
