The Best Artificial Plants for Fall

September 7, 2021

I’m honored to be apart of the Seasonal Simplicity series going on all week. Thank you for joining from The Turquoise Home. Laura shared so many great fall kitchen decorating ideas. We are all here on this tour to inspire you to decorate your home for fall. In years past I’ve gone crazy with pumpkins and decorating our home for fall, both inside and outside. This year I am taking a more intentional approach. Today I’m sharing the best artificial plants for fall, including faux branches and trees that require zero maintenance. The best thing about artificial plants is that you can enjoy them year after year. Artificial plants are not what they used to be. They look SO natural now. It is difficult to tell the difference between real and faux, even to the trained eye.

I’ve rounded up 4 of the best artificial plants for fall, to help you easily incorporate natural  fall feels into your home.

#1. Pampas grass

Pampas grass, is not a faux plant.  But since it’s a dried grass, and requires minimal maintenance, it is one of the best artificial plants for fall. I simply CAN NOT GET ENOUGH of this grass! The whimsical texture and color are just so beautiful and unique. If you are lucky enough to have pampas grass near you, pick it and dry it. If not, I purchased mine on ETSY. Tip, to shape it use a hairdryer on low and cool. You can also use hairspray to keep your grass in place.

#2 Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is a fast-growing evergreen tree native to Australia. Unfortunately we live in the Midwest (polar vortex) so when I purchase fresh it’s from Trader Joes. How real do these faux branches look, though? Eucalyptus is the best artificial plant for fall because it can take you well into Christmas. I added these branches to our entryway table in a foundations 9″ high glass vase. Bonus: get 6 branches for $16.99 & the vase is on sale for $20 and ships free with code “FRIENDS”.

#3 Olive Tree

When I was in Napa earlier this year I saw the most spectacular olive trees. I found this great artificial olive tree online  for our entryway. Olive trees are the new fiddle leaf figs. Just add a wicker basket and you are good to go.

#4 Fiddle Leaf
I have too much trouble with the real ones. This by far is my favorite faux fiddle leaf fig tree. At 6 feet tall, it provides a huge wow factor to our family room. I’ve had people touch it thinking it was real.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you’ll now head over to Sincerely, Marie Designs to see Amanda’s cozy subtle fall home tour. For more inspiration follow and check out my other blogger friends below!
