Kitchen Organization: How to Organize your Kitchen Drawers

September 7, 2021

I love organizing. There’s something so satisfying about only having what you need and knowing where it is. As busy Moms, it’s nice to have some parts of our lives organized even though life can be chaotic at times; especially now when we are juggling remote learning, work, and mom life.

While we are spending more time at home these days, the kitchen has become one of the most important rooms in our home. It’s actually the hardest working room in our home too. We cook, eat, play, and clean in our kitchen.  To me, an organized kitchen can be a life saver. When everything in the kitchen has a place and is neatly organized, it is much easier to navigate through and keep tidy. A good start in organizing your kitchen is to declutter and get rid of anything that you don’t use. Once you have whittled down to your necessities, you can then start organizing!

I rounded up some of my favorite kitchen organization accessories below. These are some of my tried and true favorites. They help me navigate my kitchen with ease while also making things easily accessible. Scroll down for some of my favorite kitchen organization accessories!

Pots & Pans & Tubberware Drawer

Pots and pans and tubberware can get out of control because there’s so many lids/ pieces. These deep drawer dividers are a lifesaver! Put your pots and pans and lids on one side.

Deep drawer dividers | Sistema To-go Food Storage

My favorite brand of food storage is Sistema To-go Food Storage . Here I used two deep drawer dividers so after we wash the storage containers lids and inserts can easily be put back in one spot.

Pantry

When we remodeled our kitchen we took out our pantry (in our mudroom) and moved all food items to drawers in our kitchen. Best decision we ever made. We no longer waste as much food because we can see exactly what we have. These organizer bins are helpful for storing snacks for kids at arms reach.

Finally in our baking drawer I use these OXO containers to store ingredients and love our bamboo recipe box because it has a ledge to put your recipe in the lid while cooking.

I don’t like keeping out knives so this in-drawer knife block is the perfect spot to store them safely out of sight.

Let me know if you have any questions on kitchen drawer organizing below!

“What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

Everything in life is art.
